## Values

- **Practice conscious empathy.** Treat empathy like a muscle, exercise it regularly, and stay mindful of unconscious biases.
- **Over communicate.** Document knowledge and processes, and use recordings to explain thinking and start discussions.
- **Assume good intent.** Keep conversations productive by assuming good intent from the other person.
- **Be an owner.** Take on the work that needs doing in a startup, and be ready to hand responsibilities to others as the team grows.
